Conversion value
Conversion Value shows how much revenue your conversions generate. Learn what it is, why it matters, how it’s calculated, and how to improve your campaign performance by focusing on the value – not just the volume – of conversions.
Formula
Conversion Value = Total Value of All Conversions in a Set Time Period
Example. If your ad campaign results in 150 purchases totaling $7,500, your Conversion Value is $7,500. If you assign $100 per qualified lead and collect 30 leads, your Conversion Value is $3,000.
What it is
Conversion Value is the total revenue or assigned worth generated by conversions on your site – such as purchases, subscriptions, or lead form submissions. It helps you evaluate the financial impact of each conversion.
Why it matters
Conversion Value helps you prioritize high-value conversions over simple volume. It reveals which campaigns, products, or audiences deliver the most revenue – enabling smarter budget allocation and ROI optimization.
How it is calculated
Conversion Value is measured by summing the total value of all conversions during a given period. For ecommerce, this often reflects the order value. For lead gen, it may be a predefined dollar value per lead.
A good value
A good Conversion Value depends on your business model and goals. For ecommerce, a rising Conversion Value means users are purchasing more or higher-ticket items. For lead gen, it reflects the quality and expected revenue from new leads.
A bad value
A low Conversion Value could indicate you’re attracting low-intent users, driving unqualified leads, or undervaluing your offers. It may also mean your campaigns are optimized for volume instead of value.
Do
Use these strategies to increase the revenue impact of each conversion and grow your bottom line.
- 01
Track dynamic values
Instead of assigning a static value to all conversions, use dynamic tracking to capture actual transaction values for better insights.
- 02
Focus on high-value products or leads
Identify which campaigns or products produce the most revenue and shift your strategy toward those segments.
- 03
Combine with ROAS or CPA
Use Conversion Value alongside Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) or Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) to evaluate efficiency and profitability together.
Avoid
Assigning arbitrary values, ignoring post-conversion revenue, or tracking only conversion count can limit insights. Focus on total value to improve campaign strategy.

Real things real customers said — each quote pinned to a specific claim, straight from the quotes database.
“We had six or seven different channels and no single source of truth — it was almost impossible, a lot of guesswork.”
“Golden data is clean data — the measure of reality, true and not false, that you can trust based on its source. If you have that, you're good.”
“Most businesses look at a Shopify or Google Analytics dashboard and think it's the source of truth. It's not — that data was never cleaned.”
